LILONGWE HANDLING COMPANY HAS A LONG HISTORY OF SERVING CUSTOMERS WITH THE BEST HANDLING SERVICES IN THE COUNTRY
Lilongwe Handling Company (LIHACO) Limited is an independent commercial statutory company providing Ground Handling Services to airlines in Malawi. The company was created in 2000 under a Concession from Airport Development Limited (ADL) to oversee Ground Handling operations at Lilongwe International and Chileka Airports. Operational since 1st April 2000, the company was officially launched on 7th August 2000.
LIHACO is wholly owned by the Malawi Government. The shareholder however exercises very little detailed and direct control. The shareholder appoints a Board of Directors to provide policy direction and employs qualified Executive Management to run the company as an independent commercial entity.
LIHACO’s mission is to provide quality ground handling services that exceed customer expectations and provide a return on investment to shareholders through highly trained and committed staff using modern serviceable equipment.
In line with this mission statement, LIHACO has seven core values: Friendliness, Professionalism and intefrity, Innovaion, Transparency and Accountability, Efficiency, Teamwrk, Dedication to Duty.
